Ian McKellen has announced that Gandalf will be in the upcoming film, 'The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum'.

McKellen spoke at the 'For the Love of Fantasy' fan event in London, where Wood was also in attendance. McKellen spilled the beans during the panel: "I'll tell you two secrets about the casting: There's a character in the movie called Frodo, and there's a character in the movie called Gandalf,"

While McKellen has stated both Gandalf and Frodo will be in the newest edition to 'The Lord of the Rings' franchise, he did not confirm if they will be reprising their respective roles, adding: "Apart from that, my lips are sealed!"

The film is set to be directed by Andy Serkis, the actor who originally played Gollum. Peter Jackson is also returning to produce.
