The 1956 Chevy Bel Air was the first in the Tri-Five series to feature hidden, gas-filler taillights. Instead of a regular gas cap on the side, you flipped open the driver-side taillight to access the fuel tank - a little “secret compartment” that amazed people back then and is still a cool detail at car shows today.
