At just 23, Jaehyun — born Shim Jaehyun — has left the world, after a quiet but brave battle with leukaemia. The former member of South Korean boy group F.able passed away on June 29th, 2025, leaving behind not only fans but a wave of grief that transcends borders.

Jaehyun debuted in 2020 as part of F.able, a five-member K-pop group known for its passionate energy and strong visuals. With tracks like Burn It Up, Run Run Run, and Cloud 9, the group showed promise, blending charm with performance power. Jaehyun stood out with his soft presence and sincere connection to fans.

In 2023, he continued activities in Japan; performing and meeting fans; while F.able gradually disbanded. Three of the members re-debuted under a new name; but Jaehyun’s quiet resilience during his illness remained private until now.

The news of his passing has stunned the K-pop community. Tributes have flooded social media, with fans remembering him not for the short span of his career; but for the warmth he gave through his music and smile.
