LEE JONG-SUK RETURNS — THE LEGAL DRAMA BEGINS

After a three-year hiatus, Lee Jong-suk is set to make his television comeback in the upcoming legal drama “Seocho-dong”, premiering on tvN on July 5, 2025. Known for his intense roles in series like “Big Mouth”, Lee takes on a more grounded character in this slice-of-life portrayal of Seoul’s legal district.

In “Seocho-dong”, Lee portrays Ahn Joo-hyung, a seasoned associate at Kyungmin Law Firm with nine years of experience. Unlike his previous role, where his character spent more time in prison than in court, Lee emphasizes that this new role allows him to showcase the professional side of a lawyer, focusing on delivering authentic and rapid dialogue.

The series is penned by practicing lawyer Lee Seung-hyun and directed by Park Seung-woo, known for his work on “W” and “Kairos”. The ensemble cast includes Moon Ga-young as Kang Hee-ji, a passionate first-year associate; Kang Yoo-seok as Jo Chang-won, the firm’s lively social butterfly; Ryu Hye-young as Bae Moon-jung, the competitive yet affectionate leader; and Im Seong-jae as Ha Sang-ki, a capitalist with a food blog.
“Seocho-dong” aims to depict the real struggles and humour of associate attorneys, combining slice-of-life storytelling with rich character depth. The drama will also be available for streaming on Disney+ in select regions.

With its focus on the daily lives and growth of lawyers, “Seocho-dong” promises to offer viewers a realistic and engaging look into the world of legal professionals.
