The 2025 Icons Match (iconsmatch_official), hosted by Nexon, is bringing two star-studded teams to Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sept 13–14 for the ultimate showdown of spear vs. shield.

On one side, you’ve got FC Spear, led by the legendary Arsène Wenger. This squad is all about pure offense—attackers, wingers, and attacking mids only. We’re talking Park Ji-sung, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba, Steven Gerrard, Kaká, Ronaldinho, Eden Hazard and more—basically, a highlight reel waiting to happen.

On the other side is Shield United, coached by Rafael Benítez. This team is stacked with defensive walls only—defenders and defensive mids built to stop anything coming their way. Anchored by icons like Carles Puyol, Rio Ferdinand, Claudio Marchisio, Alessandro Nesta, Ashley Cole, Claude Makélélé, they’re ready to lock it down in the back.

Day 1 (Sept 13) is all about fun—mini-games like 1-on-1 challenges, touch contests, and curve-shot challenges. Day 2 (Sept 14) is the real deal: an 11-on-11 clash of attack vs. defense in front of a roaring Seoul crowd.

Both days come with exclusive merch drops—team jerseys, windbreakers, scarves, caps, keyrings, patches, even carry-ons—and if you can’t make it to the stadium, you can still catch it live via MBC or online streaming.
