Robert Townsend literally maxed out credit cards to bring us Hollywood Shuffle back in '87 because no one else saw the vision. 

That's not just dedication, that's a whole blueprint for independent Black filmmaking. 

He showed us how to bet on ourselves when nobody else would. 

Forever grateful for this iconic visionary.
