Business Posts — Week Two

This might turn into a series, because somebody has to post the real-world side of business. Not the highlight reels. Not the scaling stories. Not the “quit your job and make six figures” advice.

Here’s the reality:

📊 Over 77% of nonemployer small businesses in the U.S. make less than $50,000 in annual revenue — and about 60% of seasoned small business owners with employees pay themselves less than $75,000 a year.

If you’re doing this only for the money, you will fail.

Even if the money comes (and that’s a big IF), you’ll still feel like you failed.

I’ve been at this nearly 27 years. I’ve put in close to 100,000 hours. I don’t know it all — but I know BS when I see it. And someone needs to start posting real-world truths, if for no other reason than to set expectations without crushing dreams.

Fact:
👉 Being in business is less about winning and more about outlasting.

You can’t win a game you can’t stay in.

It’s no different than training.
Most people think it’s about the PRs, the highlight clips, the big wins. But the truth? Strength is built in the boring reps, the missed lifts, the sessions you grind through when nobody’s watching.

Business is the same.
You don’t “win” from one viral success or perfect quarter. You win by showing up, putting in the work, and outlasting everyone who quit when it got hard.

Just like under the bar — consistency beats intensity, every time.

So before you fall for pipe-dreams from a so-called “guru” who’s never had to make payroll, know what you’re really getting yourself into.
