An adult magical realism story that’s strange, unique, and creepy. The beautiful dust jacket and artwork suits the story well. Kudos to the designers!⁣

Ada and her dad aren’t technically human—how they heal the locals aka ‘Cures’, is something else. Expect some graphic/medical related, unsettling moments (research TWs).

I wasn’t a fan of Ada’s underwhelming and questionable love interest, Samson. Plus, the entire disturbing situation with Samson’s sister… NOPE.🤢 ⁣

The ending left me with so many questions.⁣
