Tragedy in Elizabeth, NJ: A car crashed into the Planet Fitness on Newark Avenue Tuesday afternoon, killing a 72-year-old man and injuring several others.

Police say a 69-year-old woman drove through the front windows of the gym around 12:20 p.m. The driver and three others were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The building sustained structural damage and has been closed until further notice. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
