The principal of Annunciation School delivered an emotional message to parents, students and his staff following a deadly mass shooting that took place as many had gathered for a back-to-school Mass at the school's church Wednesday.⁠

"To any of our students and families and staff watching right now, I love you. You're so brave. And I'm so sorry this happened to us today," Matthew DeBoer began his remarks during a press conference hours after the shooting killed two children and injured more than a dozen others.⁠
