The perfect time to eat something that warms the heart and soul, a good ol’ Shepherd’s pie. 🥧

Venison is a great alternative to the traditional red meats for impressing your guests this holiday season 🙂

INGREDIENTS:
Filling
- 1 lb. ground venison (@silverfernfarmsusa)
- 1 red onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 stalk of celery
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup red wine
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- ¼ cup chicken stock
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- Rosemery and thyme
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Mashed Potato
- 2 russet potatoes
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- Salt and pepper
