Roasted Garlic Buttered Noodles Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 head of garlic
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
* 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
* 1 pound pasta (your choice)
* Salt to taste
* Freshly ground black pepper to taste
* Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
* Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves. Place the garlic head on a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil. Wrap the garlic in the foil and roast in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the cloves are soft and golden brown. Once roasted, let it cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic cloves out of their skins into a bowl.
Mash the roasted garlic with a fork. Mix the mashed garlic into the softened butter until well combined.

In a large bowl, add the red pepper flakes, the compound butter, the cooked pasta, and some of the olive oil from the roasted garlic. Toss everything together until the pasta is well coated. Add a splash of reserved pasta water to help the sauce adhere to the noodles and create a silky texture.

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
