Been hard at work on a challenging new series of four oil paintings called Ceramony…. All featuring a matriarch from a fictional but possible lineage of my family tree … a tree of life erupting out of each one’s mind like Athena from Zeuses mind … the records of genealogy captured along with items both sacred and profane , pop culture and obscure … including this gun which was so fun to paint… a long way to go still …but chipping away …  #oilpaint
