#paidpartnership 💙 The Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information is making the necessary steps to ensure our children with special needs receive the attention they deserve. With over 1,000 requests for placement and growing, the demand has never been greater. These are children with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and multiple learning challenges — all needing safe, structured environments to thrive.

That’s why the Ministry is launching the Inclusive Spaces Initiative, transforming schools into centres that will provide:
🔹 Smaller classrooms & individualized attention
🔹 Functional literacy and numeracy
🔹 Vocational training to prepare students for further education or the world of work

In partnership with the Early Childhood Commission, the Ministry will introduce a national autism training programme to equip preschool and infant school teachers — through workshops, online modules, and classroom tools — to recognize early signs and deliver compassionate support. 🌟

Let’s work together to create a Jamaica where every child is seen, supported, and given the chance to succeed.
