The effects of war 💔

Felix Kammerer, who plays the protagonist Paul Bäumer in All Quiet on the Western Front (2022), described the filming as emotionally exhausting: immersing himself daily in scenes of mud, blood, and despair made him rethink his own relationship with life and mortality. 

According to the actor himself, there were days when he felt like “he was bringing the dead home” after shooting.
