change is scary but so worth it 

i’m so glad i decided to quit my job a year ago. i’m so glad i decided to put my health first. i’m so glad i took time to take care of myself and take a break. i’m so glad i went at the pace i did. i’m so glad i’ve come so far in my healing journey.

at the time, making major changes was so scary and i was unsure if i made the right decision. but in my gut, i always knew i made the choices that would lead me to where i wanted and needed to be.

at first i was ashamed of taking a mental health break and being unemployed. but i needed to do it in order to be in a stable place mentally so i could manage a job. it’s okay to take breaks, especially for your well-being, if you’re able to. i know i am very lucky to have been able to take time off and put myself first. everyone should have the ability to do so.

i’m so proud of myself for making it to where i am today. i finally have a job i genuinely enjoy and i feel supported by my team. i got to move out and i now have a space that is all my own. younger me would be so proud. <3
