Ssense將在加拿大自主申請破產保護，即是在可以繼續持續營運下進行債務重組並有機會啟動出售程序，Ssense最近在5月亦都宣布裁掉100名員工，已經是今年第三次裁員。Ssense表示，這次破產保護申請是因為受到美國關稅政策所影響，美國現時對加拿大商品徵收高達 35% 的關稅，比起中國入口的30%與墨西哥入口的25%更高，而且即將會取消「de minimis loophole」措施，原本價值低於800美元的免稅包裹將會被重新徵收關稅，令到銷售額進一步下跌。
