🐾We are happy to introduce you to Fishcreek Elementary School's new principal: Mrs. Burwell! This may be her first year in the district, but Mrs. Burwell brings a wealth of experience with her. She previously served as the middle school principal in Ravenna City School District for three years, associate principal at Perry High School for three years, and began her career as an 8th grade ELA teacher in the Kent City School District. 

Mrs. Burwell is inspired by the growth she sees in students each year, made possible through the dedication of passionate educators. As an administrator, she is driven by helping create the conditions for that success - making sure teachers have the tools, support, and systems they need to thrive. 

Mrs. Burwell's favorite part of being at Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools so far? The collaborative, passionate educators who make the district such a special place. That sense of pride and dedication is what excites her most about joining our Bulldog family. 

Outside of work, Mrs. Burwell enjoys shopping (her favorite stress reliever) and spending time with her family. Fun fact: Her bachelor's degree is in Mass Media Communications-Radio/TV. She originally wanted to be a broadcast journalist and travel the world 🌎 telling compelling stories. 

She also recently purchased a home here in Stow and is thrilled to live and work in the same community. 🏡
