BREAKING:  Packers GM Brian Gutekunst confirmed that QB Jordan Love is having a procedure on his left thumb to address a ligament injury.

The plan is for Love to return to practice next week. Gutekunst also doesn’t expect this to have any long-term impact.

The injury occurred during the preseason opener against the Jets on Saturday.

Surgery is today.
