Pre-purchase exams aren’t the crystal ball we wish they were. A PPE is valuable, but it’s just a snapshot of risk on that day—not a guarantee of a horse’s future. From “perfect” horses that still get hurt to radiographs full of findings that never become an issue, it’s time to rethink how we view this step in the buying process.
