To mark #LGBTplusHM25, we’re celebrating last year’s University Rugby Awards Rugby for All EDI Award winner, Kate Cook-Williams welsh_kate, Head Coach of hallamwrfu. 
 
“Kate joined our club as head coach midway through the beginning of our semester after having been left without a coach suddenly. Kate has worked alongside our committee to create a massively diverse feeling for our club. She’s done this by promoting the use of inclusive LBGTQ+ language and endorsing the use of they/them pronouns for ALL players to reduce misidentifying players. Kate has helped the committee fight for equal opportunities for the club in light of those presented to the men’s team and is a non-stop fighter for our club to succeed.”
 
Well done to Kate and the entire club at Sheffield Hallam for your incredible dedication to creating an inclusive environment for everyone in the game.
