Bunion Recovery: Part 2 👣

The first month after surgery was tough (because I was confined to my couch) but it’s given me a newfound appreciation for the human body and its ability to heal itself.

In true Jess fashion, I spent most of this month obsessing over how my stitches weren’t healing perfectly or quickly enough, the constant pins & needles from the nerve pain, and bruising like I’ve never seen before. But I can’t believe how good everything looks and feels now in just a few weeks.

Btw did you know your toenails grow more slowly when you’re not walking? I didn’t.

I owe a huge thank you to the nurses at the clinic for being so patient with my weekly “is this normal?!” messages 😂

Speaking of thank you’s, I’m grateful for those of you following my journey 🫶🏼 I shared the last reel mostly to document this life-changing process for myself, in the hopes that it might help others who are in my shoes. But I didn’t expect there to be *this* many of us!
