If you’re facing rejection, know this: it doesn’t define you. It can teach you, redirect you, and push you toward what’s truly meant for you. I’ve felt the sting of rejection—the kind that’s sharp, personal, and leaves you questioning everything. But sometimes, rejection is what we need to grow.

When I started teaching yoga, I wasn’t just chasing a dream—I was trying to survive. I was raising my daughter alone, taking every opportunity I could to make ends meet. I chased every lead, determined to build something real.

After a few years of teaching privates & group classes, I set my sights on the next level: teaching online. Back then, online platforms were the ultimate way to grow and create passive income, and I was determined to make it happen. I pursued an opportunity with a major platform, convinced it was my big break. I felt like my star was rising. But no matter how hard I pushed, I kept getting turned down.

Finally, I landed a face-to-face meeting with the founder. I walked in confident, sure I could make my case. Instead, I was told “no” in no uncertain terms—and even worse, I was told they didn’t like me as a teacher or a person. It felt brutal. Crushing. I’d poured everything into trying to prove myself, and it still wasn’t enough.

That moment forced me to confront something every creator and teacher faces: not everyone will resonate with you, no matter how good your intentions are. It was humbling, painful—and clarifying.

Rejection can either break you or redirect you. That “no” made me step back and realize I’d been chasing validation from the wrong people. It gave me the clarity to seek opportunities in places I hadn’t considered—projects that helped me grow in ways I never expected. Sometimes, the walls we hit aren’t there to stop us, but to guide us to a new path.

The lesson I want you to carry with you is this: the “no” you think you need to hear as a “yes” is often just pointing you toward a far better “yes.” Trust the redirection—it’s leading you somewhere you’re meant to be.
