Here are my rules that I have for myself as a nurse if I see a crash like this on the side of the highway. 

#1 are there medical professionals there yet?  If so, then keep moving because this is their job and they have it under control and extra hands usually are not necessary, and can add chaos to the scene. 

#2 is the scene safe for me to stop?  If so, then I would stop and ask if they need a nurse. 

I pulled over and asked if they needed a nurse when I saw the bleeding victim wasn’t being attended to, and they said “We need all the hands we can get right now”, as the firemen were putting out a fire and there was no ambulance on the scene yet. 

Just on Saturday night, I was behind a four car pileup crash, which I did not stop for because it was 11:30 PM and pitch black outside.  Despite this happening before my eyes, it was not safe and so I kept moving.  I just wanted to come on here to tell everyone to please drive safely and say a little prayer for those involved in the accident. 🙏🏼 lovelybyleigha
