Here’s a lesson in playing to your strengths. I’ve started this mini series to discuss the very real struggles of entrepreneurship. I feel like we often hear about the perks (unlimited income, free time, creativity) but there’s not a lot of talk about the downsides (constantly chasing new sales, inconsistency in income, lack of funding etc.)

It can be very discouraging to realize that you’re not up to par in some areas but here’s what I’ve taken from that information 

1. You’re going to have to hire people. I know there are people that do their solo business very well but at the barest of minimums you need an accountant and an assistant. It’s not possible to be a master at everything so you need the help of talented people that enjoy the things you hate/suck at.
2. You can always learn and get better. If there is something that’s crucial for you to be good at or at least decent like talking to clients, pitching ideas, business systems etc. you can always learn and get better in these areas.

So while the pressure of being faced daily with your weaknesses can be scary and overwhelming, taking things one step at a time and delegating can help soothe these uncomfortable feelings. Also don’t compare your timeline with any other person or company!
