Self-promotion is part of the deal. You have to be prepared to talk about yourself and what you do to peak people’s interest. Whether you’re a freelancer, a business owner or a serial side hustler, self-promotion is crucial to attracting clients and ultimately, making sales.

Write down your fear and sit with it. Really ask yourself why? Why do I feel this fear? You’ll probably land on something like being afraid to be judged by others but You have to get to the bottom of it in order to truly overcome the fear. Face it head on and listen to yourself without judgement, accept this fear and then still decide that you’re going to move forward.

Get over yourself. Your product or service is not about you! It’s about what you can do for your clients and if you don’t promote, you’re blocking so many other people from potentially getting their blessing. This is bigger than you.

Just start. I know it’s scary but you’ll never get to the point where it’s effortless if you don’t first go through the part where it’s cringy and uncomfortable. It’s going to be a little painful but you will survive.

You can do this. If you’ve seen anybody else do it, myself included then you can do it too!
