As we continue to celebrate #UNC25, hear from #UNCgrad Liliana Ferreira about a few of her favorite moments at Carolina. 

🎓 Liliana is from Ludlow, Massachusetts but found home in Matthews, North Carolina for 6 years. This May, she received her bachelor’s in economics and sport administration with a minor in business administration. 

🐏 The highlight of her #UNC experience was the small moments. “Sitting on the Quad, studying around campus and cheering at football games. Having such a beautiful and lively campus to make memories with friends and fellow Tar Heels has been unforgettable. Looking ahead, one of my greatest highlights will be proudly telling everyone that I am a Tar Heel for life.” 

💬 Liliana’s advice to Tar Heels is to enjoy the moment. “It’s easy to feel overwhelmed trying to balance academics, extracurriculars and a social life, but remember how lucky you are to have all those amazing opportunities in front of you. Senior year and graduation sneak up faster than you think, and when you’re taking senior photos and celebrating those final moments, you’ll realize just how important it was to soak it all in. Enjoy the little things — every late night, every game day, every walk across campus — and truly live in the moment.”

🩵 After graduating, Liliana will miss the little things, like “seeing Rita the crosswalk guard every day, the events and pop-ups in the Pit, the beautiful sights of the Bell Tower and the Old Well, the passion that fills every sporting event and the strong sense of community that you can feel everywhere on campus.”

👣 When asked how she imagines her Heelprint at Carolina, she said, “I hope the Heelprint I leave is one that inspires others to be proud of who they are and what they bring to the table. I want my time at Carolina to show that embracing your unique background and culture can not only empower you, but also encourage others to share their own stories and experiences.”
