Every 45 seconds, an LGBTQ+ young person attempts suicide. And this week, the federal government is shutting down a national lifeline designed to help them.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s LGBTQ+ youth specialized services have helped 1.5 million young people. Soon, this program will be gone.

This isn’t politics. It’s a life-or-death emergency. Without 988, The Trevor Project will have to carry this crisis with half the infrastructure and double the need.
