Stonewall was a riot. A moment of righteous rebellion led by trans women of color, sex workers, and queer folks who had been pushed to the margins — and chose to fight back.

We remember June 28, 1969 not as the start of the LGBTQ+ rights movement, but as a seismic spark that reignited generations of resistance.

As Sylvia Rivera said: “We have to be visible.”

On this Stonewall Day, we honor those who rose up — and recommit to showing up. For our elders. For our youth. For our trans siblings still fighting for their lives.

Pride belongs here. Our visibility is power. And legacy is our responsibility 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
