Mental health care shouldn’t require a diagnosis to be taken seriously.

Our May research brief explores how LGBTQ+ young people experience mental health diagnoses and access to mental health care. We found that 89% of diagnosed LGBTQ+ youth want care — and so do 76% of young people living without a diagnosis.

Yet, access follows a troubling trend: the more diagnoses a young person has, the more likely they are to receive help and support. That’s not how care should work.

Our latest brief sheds light on a critical gap between who needs care and who can actually access it. Read our research & share it with your friends. Because data makes a difference. 🧡
