This morning’s HHS report dismisses the validity of transgender health care, but let’s be clear: this isn’t science, it’s stigma. Our research shows that trans and nonbinary young people who are able to live as their authentic selves through receiving healthcare are significantly less likely to attempt suicide.

We won’t let politically-motivated reports erase the truth: affirming care is lifesaving. This Mental Health Awareness Month, and every month to come, we will continue to provide mental health support and suicide prevention care for LGBTQ+ young people — not deprive queer and trans youth of the tools that help them survive.

We’re working around the clock to provide free, confidential crisis support to LGBTQ+ youth — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But as the volume of crisis contacts climbs, our resources are being stretched like never before.

Visit trvr.org/ActNow to see how you can help right now:

🧡 Sign our petition to demand lawmakers protect LGBTQ+ youth — not endanger them.
🧡 Donate to ensure that Trevor will also be here to answer a young person’s call for help – 24/7.
🧡 Share our campaign and send a message to the LGBTQ+ young people in your life that they matter.

Together, we can make a difference for LGBTQ+ youth everywhere.

If you need support today or later, The Trevor Project is here 24/7/365, free & secure, to help you through anything and everything. Call us at 1-866-488-7386, text ‘START’ to 678-678, or connect online at trvr.org/get-help 🧡🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈
