Today on Pansexual & Panromantic Pride Day, we want to remind you that love is fluid and attraction doesn’t need to fit labels. 🙌 Pansexual and Panromantic folks often face a lack of understanding even within the LGBTQ+ community. Let’s talk about some myths around Pansexuality/Panromanticism: 

💗“You have to be attracted to everyone”: Pansexual individuals are not attracted to every single person they encounter. Attraction is personal and varies from person to person regardless of sexual or romantic orientation. 

💛”It’s just a phase”: Pansexuality & Panromanticism is not merely a phase or confusion about one’s identity. In reality, they are valid and distinct identities that deserve to be affirmed and celebrated—not judged and made less of. 

💙”Pan is the same as Polyamorous”: Some pansexual or panromantic people may choose to be in polyamorous relationships, but being pan does not inherently mean that someone is poly. Pan folks can have monogamous or poly relationships just like anyone can.
