The restoration of the historic Palm House building at Allan Gardens Conservatory is now complete!

The current Palm House designed by Robert McCallum opened in 1910 following a fire that destroyed the previous pavilion. The conservatory is no stranger to additions, expansions, and renovations - in the 1920's two greenhouses were added to the north and south ends, and land was acquired between 1956-1963 expanding the site by 13 acres!

The recent improvements include barrier free public washroom facilities, window glazing, glass cladding replacement, and modernization of the ventilation and air quality systems and controls.

Allen Gardens Conservatory is free to visit 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm, located at 19 Horticultural Ave.
