Now Open: ‘Christine Ay Tjoe: Covered and Cover’ at White Cube New York (until 16 August 2025)

At White Cube New York, Christine presents a new series of abstract paintings in which swollen, inflated forms invoke bodily organs and skeletal matter.

The painted forms are ‘like a blood-clot’, referring to the way in which family members unite in the face of grief, like platelets around an instance of trauma – a motif that is as much about pain as it is about loving unity.

‘Christine Ay Tjoe: Covered and Cover’ is on view at White Cube New York until 16 August 2025.
