March 24 is #WorldTuberculosisDay. The need for TB care in early-20th-century Toronto led to major increases in public health nursing staff, who cared for patients in clinics and on home visits. The Toronto  Free Hospital for Consumptive Poor, founded in 1904, later known as the Toronto Tuberculosis Hospital and the Weston Sanitorium, is now West Park Healthcare Centre.
