Ahead of International Youth Day on Tuesday, August 12, we’re celebrating GivingTuesday Spark Chapter Leaders who are making an impact. 

Every day, they mobilize neighbors to help neighbors, facilitate youth-centric initiatives that transform cities block by block, and turn big dreams into local realities while addressing the realities of life.

They don’t simply talk about change. GivingTuesday Uganda Spark Chapter Leader, Joel, makes it happen. Joel is passionate about community development and committed to advancing socio-economic progress in rural areas across Uganda. His broader goal is to support community members in achieving transformative and sustainable development. Growing up in a rural area, Joel witnessed firsthand socio-economic issues affecting his peers. As a GivingTuesday Spark Chapter Leader, Joel facilitates community-led initiatives by supporting individuals in identifying and leveraging resources to address challenges such as poverty and unemployment among his peers.
