## Caption

The Eastern Docklands shows a different side of Amsterdam. Less narrow canals, more wide-open water, interesting architecture and local spots that rival the city centre. ⛵

We hung out with our Hox Friends @mat_buckets and @emmapeijnenburg for 48 hours in the neighbourhood, home to The Hoxton, Lloyd Amsterdam. A historic building with deep maritime roots, now reimagined as a design-led hotel with comfy rooms of every shape and size.

And talk about timing. @sailamsterdam.official only rolls around once every five years, bringing hundreds of tall ships, fireworks, and waterside stalls straight to our doorstep.
