We always ask our volunteers why they decided to join us for a meal-making event. Here’s what one said: “For me, I’m participating because at one point in time I was also a homeless individual for a good month and I know what’s like to be in that situation especially when you have kids. So if I can give back, I will and I do! And it makes me feel relieved to just know that I’m doing my part and helping.”
