Superceded by the Mk IV and then discontinued, nearly ten years on, this model doesn't get much talk. Does that make it something to ignore? No chance. 

Although it's a little heavy (it shipped with a strap), it's got a 1", 20MP sensor that’s totally fine for a heap of photography styles, as is the 1080p, 120fps video.

However what it does have to shout about is the 25x digital zoom, 24–600mm fixed lens. It's certainly a beast and allows you to have a 'do it all' bridge camera you can take anywhere, knowing you'll get the shot.
