After 16 years, credit card and smartphone payments will finally be available at Seoul subway ticket kiosks!✨

Until now, most kiosks only accepted cash, except for a few locations, causing inconvenience for both citizens and travelers.

Starting Saturday, September 6, new transit card kiosks will be piloted at 25 major subway stations. 

This will mark the beginning of a sequential rollout, with 440 new kiosks planned to be installed across Lines 1 to 8.
