The legendary Group 1 ‘weight for age’ race in Melbourne boasts huge prize money and attracts huge crowds from around the country to witness the crowning of Australasia’s best racehorse. Horses like Phar Lap, Winx and Verry Elleegant, to name but a few, are synonymous with this great race, and Moonee Valley puts on an unforgettable show for racegoers.

Moonee Valley Race Club will continue their course redevelopment after the 2025 Cox Plate by demolishing the current grandstand and reconfiguring the track. This is your last chance to experience the original Valley for the best race in Australia. 

Taste the sweet life during a two-night stay at Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer. In a nod to Mövenpick's Swiss heritage and famous chocolate, the hotel hosts 'Chocolate Hour' daily from 2 pm to 3 pm. Guests can indulge in complimentary chocolate-themed sweets that change daily.
