Happy 50th to one of the most beloved aircraft of all time - the F-16 Fighting Falcon!

Pilots and crews often refer to it as the "Viper” due to a perceived resemblance to a viper snake as well as the fictional Colonial Viper starfighter from the television program Battlestar Galactica, which aired at the time the F-16 entered service.
