We want to tell you about Col. Carylyle Harris. He was a prisoner of war for 2,871 days during the Vietnam War. 
He is credited with introducing 'tap code' to his fellow POWs, a secret form of communication first used by allied POWs in WWII. When a fellow prisoner would return from being tortured, Col. Harris and his men would tap the message "GBU" to them, which stood for "God Bless you." This lifted the prisoners' morale during their darkest moments of captivity. #POW #POWMIA #Military #AirForce #Airmen #POWMIARecognitionDay
