Does this Dalí work strike a chord? 🎹

"Sentimental Colloquy" was a study for the backdrop to the ballet with this painting's namesake. If you take a close look, it features a landscape populated by bicyclists with stones on their heads.

Sentimental Colloquy opened at New York’s International Theatre on October 30, 1944. Inspired by a Paul Verlaine poem, its music was by Paul Bowles, and choreography by André Eglevesky. Of all the Surrealists, only Dalí made any attempt to relate the world of ballet to Surrealism. #TheDali #WorldPianoDay
