Dalí gives a new meaning to #SundayScaries. The artist often painted what horrified him. Ants are one symbol often displayed in his work to portray destruction and decay and for their shock value. During World War II they came to represent the destruction of Europe. 

In his painting “Profanation of the Host,” ants are seen eating away at Dalí’s skull-less self portrait. #TheDali #DaliDecoded #SpookySaturday
