## Caption

So great to see crowds packing every Lower East Side gallery last night. In first weeks of a new season anyone you see really had to have wanted to be there. Mostly for each other or to be loved or seen by strangers, to drink free wine or beer, dance, talk, or simply and perhaps quietly bask in one another’s presence and mutual shared endeavors and even our love or need for one another.  In the end, other than our work, all we really have is one another.

Say “Hi” if you see me. And remember I do not shake hands; I will only touch elbows because - geezer that I am - I always end up having to shake so many hands that I, otherwise, spend the year being sick or fighting off YOUR colds and flies and whatever.
