From the sun's rays to energy savings, the SmartFlower is one bright blossom! 🌻💡

The centerpiece of this colorful garden at the Detroit Zoo is a solar-panel system with 16 "petals" that, like a real flower, trail the sun across the sky throughout the day. 

By converting energy from the sun to usable electricity, we can create about 4,500 kilowatts of electricity annually – about what a small to medium-sized home in Michigan uses.
