💸 TAX SEASON IS HERE 💸

Here are 3 tax tips for influencers from our Head of Billing! Save this post to reference when you’re completing your taxes 💓

1. All monetary and non-monetary income must be claimed this includes:
 - Brand partnership income
 - Gifting - value of gifts must be reported
 - Gifted trips from brands
 - Commissions
 - Viewership income
2. Any expenses incurred while earning income that were not reimbursed can be claimed this includes:
 - Utilities, internet & phone bills
 - Rent
 - Business meals
 - Travel (gas, hotels, flights etc.)
 - Mortgage interest & prop tax
 - Cameras and other filming equipment
 - Editing software
3. Be sure to keep all records this includes receipts and invoices for at least 6 years - this is the timeframe that the CRA can re-assess for.
