how to get more PR event invites ⬇️

1. network with brands, agencies, and other content creators online AND irl. pitch local PR agencies to keep you on their radar, and make friends with other influencers who might invite you as a +1 or recommend you to their contacts if they can’t make events! ✉️

2. when you do get an invite: be engaged in the event activities, introduce yourself to whoever is on-site and thank them for inviting you, ask questions about the brand, and generally be respectful 🤗 (ie. not complaining out loud if things aren’t going as planned, smiling to staff, avoiding drinking too much if there is free alcohol)

3. shoot content and post organically! 📷 tag the brand in stories (real-time posting is often favoured to track immediate impact). send analytics afterwards in a thank you email! this helps agencies and brands measure your worth AND builds good rapport as someone who is professional and goes above and beyond. if the post performed well, you’re also more likely to get paid requests in the future!
