This week is Pro Bono Week. Envision, the local GivingTuesday leader in Romania, promotes on Facebook a series of stories of people who donated their skills, talent and expertise in order to raise funds for a cause they believe in, through Galantom.ro, a local peer-to-peer fundraising platform. Here are some creative ways, inspired by them, to get involved in your community during this week.

Donate your skills
Are you skilled in public speaking, origami, construction of electric bicycle motors or anything else? Make a youtube video or organise an online webinar and share your knowledge. Announce that you will do it for free, but the participants are invited to support a cause close to your heart, making a donation. You can create, for example, a fundraising page on a platform or on Facebook in order to collect the donations.

Donate your expertise
If you have expertise in a certain domain (IT, Marketing, Communication, HR or other) spread the news that you offer consulting hours in exchange for donations to a cause that you want to support. Donate your talent
If you are an artist (musician, magician, actor, dancer) or you have a special talent, organize an online event and invite your friends and fans to participate. The event is for free, but anyone is invited to make a donation instead of buying a ticket.
